This version of the site
Vigil Page does not offer account registration. This first version sets no first-party cookies and runs no analytics. It has no advertising scripts or tracking pixels. Fonts and images are served with the site.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address is sent to Buttondown, the service that stores the list and sends the emails. You confirm the subscription by email, and every email has an unsubscribe link. We use the address only to send the newsletter; we do not sell it. See Buttondown's privacy policy.
Hosting
Cloudflare serves these pages and may process technical request logs as part of delivering and protecting the site. Those records are handled by Cloudflare. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Films on YouTube
A film page initially shows a local player placeholder. The YouTube player loads only when you click Play. The embedded player uses youtube-nocookie.com. At that point Google may process information under Google's privacy policy. You can also follow the separate link to watch on YouTube.
External reading and shops
Archive, YouTube and other external links take you to another service. That service handles your visit under its own privacy policy.
At the moment this site has no active affiliate links. When it has, every link will be marked (paid link) and every page with one will say so at the top.
